I went to my two job interviews as scheduled. For a change, I was not late. The first interview with the development company went fine, but according to the interviewer my twang is the only drawback. He has a point. Since it's a sales related position with business owners and professionals as clients, I need to have an American accent for me to fit in. Also, the job involves driving. As you know, I still don't have my learner's permit.
The second interview was like - "Oh no, I could not believe I applied for this job" kind of thing. KISA even called just to tell me, "that job is beneath you...". The manager looks like a shmuck. Pardon my French. If ever I'll work for him, it is hard for me to believe his authority. Oh sorry again, if I am too confident with myself. Anyway, KISA left me within that area, Ormond Town Square, because he had to go to work. I tried my luck with other companies nearby. Though they don't have vacancy yet, I submitted my resume.
As I was scanning the stores, I came accross this place, Dollar Tree. Being a cheapskate that I am, it caught my attention. I went inside and look for the merchandise on display. Hmmm, interesting. It reminded me of the 99 store in the Philippines. Obviously, they have the same concept. Everything is a dollar in prize. I went ahead and grab a few things (as seen in the picture). After that I went to KISA's workplace. I just realized that a two-block distance in the US is like a kilometer in the Philippines. Under the summer heat, I walked with the speeding cars beside me. I did not bother KISA of picking me up.I bragged about my purchase, and he said, "Let me see the quality". Hmm, he has a point (again). Anyway, I am still contented with it, and told him that I want to buy more stuffs there some time. Well, he is kind to say, "Okay, whatever you wish".
